When Northumbrian Roads was founded back in 1989 by the late John Patrick Lynch, their early projects were private drives, farm roads and car parks.
Working with his co-director George Barton, John soon developed the company's reputation for quality, speed and reliability.
It wasn't long before the company was expanding and its portfolio of clients was broadening.
During the early 90's Northumbrian Roads spent most of its time being a sub contractor to many local and major national main contractors in the industry. A natural progression was to become a main contractor in its own right working directly for local authorities, house builders and other public sector bodies.
Northumbrian Roads Ltd. has consolidated its position over the last decade and is now one of the largest independent road surfacing companies in the North of England.
Today with its many in-house operations to draw from, Northumbrian Roads has the resources and financial strength to tackle most large scale projects whilst maintaining the friendly and flexible approach which was embedded into its business ethos all those years ago.
