We are proud to announce that from February 2007, we will be producing asphalt and coated macadam products from our brand new £1.5 million coating plant facility at The Port of Sunderland. The plant which is situated next door to our recycling facility at Hendon is capable of mixing 160 tonnes of material per hour.
The plant has hot storage capacity for up to 100 tonnes and it has its own independent weighbridge attached.
The plant is run by a very sophisticated management IT system which enables precise product mixes to be manufactured.
The coating plant is mainly dedicated to our own sites however it has ample capacity to deliver to other customers.
