Having left school in 1985, Sean completed a 2 year Diploma in Business studies before gaining valuable experience  working with an asphalt coating plant for 18 months. He joined Northumbrian Roads in 1989 soon after the company  was founded by his father and soon gained experience in a number of site activities. He successfully complete an HNC in Civil Engineering and became a Director of the company in 1999.

Today Sean is responsible for  the commercial success of all of the company’s contracts. Along with his brother Chris and the management team, he manages the company’s workload programme and assists the Managing Director with the company’s business development strategy.

Sean is member of the Institute for Asphalt Technology and is well known in the local surfacing industry.
