Stephen has over 20 years experience in surfacing.

He joined Northumbrian Roads in 1989 as a paver operator. His dedication and enthusiasm led to him being promoted to the position of foreman in 1994.

He was able to demonstrate his practical abilities by running his own surfacing sites often organising and planning his resources accordingly.

In 2004, he followed in his father’s footsteps and became a Surfacing Contracts Manager.

Today Stephen has the responsibility for the day to day running of the contracts under his direction. He is totally customer focussed having spent many years working within the constraints of the local authority maintenance environment.
